Updating or Pinging iTunes with your Updated Podcast Feed

Is iTunes a little behind on serving your updated feed?  You can “ping” the iTunes servers and tell them to update their info from your latest feed info.  You can do this both automatically and manually.  In either case, there are two URLs you can use to make that happen.  If you know your feeds URL, use the first one.  If you know your iTunes podcast ID,  you can use the second one.
Option1: 
 https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?feedURL=http://your_feed_url

Option 2:
https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?id=your_iTunes_Podcast_ID

Some blogging software allows you to ping a service of your choice with each post.  I use Wordpress.  You can insert either of the above options into the “Writing” tab of the “Options” menu to automatically ping iTunes everytime you write a new post.
